Anthony Mims Obituary, Death – There will be a funeral service held for Tony Mims, who was 59 years old and lived in Jacksonville. The event will take place at the Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at ten o’clock in the morning.
David Jimerson and James Pike will preside over the ceremony. Jacksonville was the location where Mr. Mims died away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
Tony’s parents, Steve Glenn Mims and Addie Marie Lasater, welcomed him into the world on July 12, 1959 in Palestine, Texas.
Mr Mims was a member of the United States Army. He left his position at the Waste Water Treatment Plant of the City of Tyler and retired.
Along with spending time with his grandchildren, he enjoyed going on vacations. His son, Jeffrey Glenn Mims, and his grandson, Ernest Ainsworth III, passed away before him. His parents both passed away before him.
He is survived by his wife, Shelia Mims, who resides in Jacksonville; his daughters, Tabitha Ainsworth and her husband Ernest II, and Samantha Hageness and her husband Brandon, both of Jacksonville; his stepmother, Lois Mims, who resides in Jacksonville; and his stepfather, Gerald Lasater, who resides in Edgewood.
In addition, he is survived by his brothers, Alan Mims and his wife Julia of Rusk, and Robert Mims and his wife Christie; his sisters, Angela Hart and her husband Glen of Jacksonville, and Tina Moore and her husband Ronnie of Buffalo; his grandchildren, Karly Carson, Lacy Ainsworth, Haylie and Maycie Hageness, Dayton Mims Hageness, Cayson Hageness, and Grayson Hageness; and a number of nieces and nephews.
