A police-involved shooting occurred on Emerson Drive, just south of American Boulevard.
Two officers from the Palm Bay Police were shot, and the suspect has been fatally wounded.
Police were present at the scene of an active incident in Palm Bay on Sunday afternoon, as confirmed by law enforcement.
The police department utilized social media around 3 p.m. to advise residents to steer clear of the area around Lexington and Americana in the northeastern part of Palm Bay.
Police officers are currently at the scene conducting an investigation.
There is no threat to the public, police said.
