South Charlotte Shooting, Pineville Shopping Centre Gunfire Injures 1, Arrests 1.

South Charlotte Shooting – After being shot at a shopping centre in Pineville on Sunday evening, one individual is currently in the hospital, where they are receiving treatment for their injuries.

In the vicinity of Kettering Drive, the event took place on Pineville-Matthews Road soon before 6:30 o’clock in the evening.

Someone was sent to the hospital with injuries that were considered to be life-threatening, according to MEDIC. When an employee got into a fight with the suspect, veteran crime reporter Glenn Counts rushed to the site and was able to interview with an employee off-camera.

The employee stated that he felt the suspect was attempting to steal from Walmart when the incident occurred.

An employee is said to have received assistance from a member of their family, according to the witness. It is believed that the culprit ran to his vehicle, where he retrieved a firearm, and then returned to the store, where he proceeded to shoot the employee. Additionally, he reported to Counts that the victim seemed to be in good health.

While Linda Smith is a regular customer, she is also acquainted with the family of the victim. She expressed to Counts that her thoughts are with them during this difficult time.

Smith stated, “They are wonderful people; they are awesome; they will help you with anything; they are just so good.” “They are just so good,” Smith claimed. “I had misplaced my wallet somewhere, and when I returned the following day, they simply moved out of the way,” the individual said.

One suspect has been taken into custody, according to officers with the Pineville Police Department; however, they have not yet established whether or not an employee was a victim of the incident.
